Sales Executive – Government

Job Summary

We’re looking for a high-energy, motivated Sales Executive to join our successful Sales team and own the Government vertical. We are a young company that has experienced tremendous growth. In less than three years we have added over 2,100 customers, including organizations such as US Department of the Interior, US Congress, Amway, Waste Management, Citizens Bank, and Estee Lauder. This position requires great consultative selling skills as our products are readily customized to meet each client’s unique requirements. The majority of our sales are done over the phone with little travel required. We generate hundreds of inbound leads each month which require diligent, organized follow up to ensure each prospect receives the highest level of pre-sales support and service.

Experience selling compliance training or eLearning preferred but not required. This position will be primarily a remote role, working from a home office.

Job Requirements

  • Exceeds quota
  • Consistently follows up on incoming leads, identifies opportunities, develops sales strategy and closes new business
  • Develops and executes strategies to generate cost effective sales leads
  • Develops a pipeline of new sales opportunities in alignment with objectives
  • Effectively presents Traliant’s training offerings to qualified prospects
  • Effectively leverages Traliant’s executives and services staff to support customer presentations
  • Documents all sales contacts, activities and sales process steps in SalesForce
  • Solicits product and market feedback from customers, prospects and partners. Communicates this feedback to sales leadership, marketing and the product development team (feature requests, market trends, competition intelligence, new opportunities)
  • Complies with all corporate policies and completes all administrative tasks on time


  • Bachelor’s degree in a business or technical related area of study
  • Minimum 5 years of consultative selling experience
  • Experience selling SaaS solutions to a variety of market verticals
  • Embraces and thrives in a culture of transparency, accountability and trust
  • Passionate self-starter with ability to work independently, prioritize work and coordinate multiple tasks within tight time constraints
  • Ability to establish strong team relationships
  • Ability to perform in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Command of social media for the benefit of lead generation, gaining access to executives and networking with key stakeholders
  • Strong aptitude with business software tools (SalesForce, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc)
  • Strong business acumen
  • Demonstrated ability to accurately forecast monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue
