Senior eLearning Technical Support Engineer

Job Summary

The Senior eLearning Technical Support Engineer within our Client Services Organization is responsible for leading our third-level support efforts. The requires troubleshooting our most complex issues with our enterprise-level clients and, after successfully resolving issues at the client level, working with the development team to engineer support-issues out of our course portfolio.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensuring our eLearning courses run smoothly in all supported environments
  • Establishing the QA test protocols, process and procedures
  • Managing the QA process
  • Interacting directly with clients to resolve third-level issues
  • Based upon root-cause analysis, provide feedback to course development team on both usability and technical issues so that our courses are continually improving
  • Work with engineering team to help ensure our course/LMS integration is continually evolving by improving speed, reliability and security

Required Skills and Experience

Knowledge that ranges from “working knowledge” to “expert” on the following topics:

  • JavaScript and which commands are (unofficially) supported by Articulate
  • Optimizing Storyline files to assure browser compatibility and stability
  • Understanding Storyline memory usage and steering course development to minimize both bandwidth and end user system resources
  • SCORM output *.JS files and how their content effects performance
  • SCORM Suspend Data and Resume Behavior
  • SCORM v. xAPI
    – Comparative benefits and experience implementing
  • SCORM v. AICC
    – Comparative benefits and experience implementing
  • Implementing Multi-SCO objects in Moodle LMS

Required Human Attributes

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, IT or Software Engineering.
  • 5+ years related experience

Location

The preferred location will be East Hanover, NJ (Parsippany/Morristown area), but a remote position may be considered.
