POSH training (Prevention Of Sexual Harassment) is one of the essential steps that organizations can take to address the pervasive problem of sexual harassment in the workplace. Many government agencies and departments require POSH training for all employees and managers.
What is sexual harassment?
Sexual harassment is a form of sex discrimination, which violates Title VII of the federal Civil Rights Act of 1964. The Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), which enforces Title VII, defines sexual harassment as unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature that directly or indirectly interferes with an individual’s work, creates a hostile work environment or is made a term or condition of employment. Sexual harassment doesn’t have to be of a sexual nature, however. Offensive comments about a person’s sex or about women in general can also constitute illegal harassment.
Providing regular, interactive POSH training helps ensure employees know how to recognize, report and prevent sexual harassment and understand the importance of building a work culture of respect, civility and inclusion.

Traliant’s POSH training focuses on raising awareness and preventing incidents of sexual harassment that can occur inside and outside of the workplace.
