Traliant, an innovator in online sexual harassment training and diversity training, today announced it is an approved sponsor of continuing education (CE) for all licensed professionals regulated by the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR). Traliant’s new course, Preventing Discrimination & Harassment: IL IDFPR CEC Edition, fulfills the prerequisite that every Illinois licensed professional with CE requirements complete one hour of sexual harassment prevention training annually to maintain their license.

On Monday, the US Supreme Court ruled that gay and transgender workers are protected from job discrimination based on their sexual orientation or gender identity. The 6-3 decision makes it clear that firing an employee because they are gay or transgender violates Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
