October is a special month for celebrating diversity, inclusion, and the contributions of individuals with disabilities to the workforce. It’s National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM)—a time to raise awareness and promote opportunities for people with disabilities in the workplace.

This month serves as a reminder that a diverse and inclusive workforce is not only beneficial—but also essential for businesses and society as a whole. In this resource guide, we’ll explore the significance of NDEAM and provide you with valuable resources to get involved and make a positive impact.

Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP)

ODEP, part of the U.S. Department of Labor, offers a wealth of resources, including toolkits, webinars, and publications to help employers and employees understand and implement disability employment practices.

National Disability Rights Network

NDRN is a network of organizations that protect and advocate for the rights of people with disabilities. They offer valuable insights into disability rights and advocacy.

National Disability Employment Awareness Month is a time to celebrate the talents and skills of individuals with disabilities and to promote inclusive workplaces. By actively participating in NDEAM, organizations can contribute to a more equitable society and help create a world where everyone has the opportunity to achieve their full potential in the workforce.
