Training Industry ─ The cyber threat landscape isn’t just evolving — it’s accelerating. AI-driven phishing attacks, deepfakes and identity-based breaches are growing at an alarming rate. In the past year, there has been a 197% increase in email-based attacks.   

 ”Employees are on the front lines of organizational cybersecurity, yet their behaviors — from weak passwords to unauthorized device use — suggest a lack of preparedness for the sophistication of today’s digital threats” says John Brushwood, Compliance Counsel at Traliant, in his latest Training Industry byline article.  

 Brushwood points to a new Traliant new cyber report, which found that 78% of employees lack confidence in spotting sophisticated threats like video deepfakes and voice spoofing. He says it’s a wake-up call for organizations to provide more advanced and tailored cybersecurity education across their workforce.  

  He adds that cybersecurity training that is frequent but not relevant fails to prepare employees for real-world threats. By modernizing training with microlearning, simulations, and relatable scenarios, organizations can turn their workforce into a true human firewall.
