Today’s employees work across hybrid environments, attend off-site events and navigate informal interactions. At the same time, organizations are internally looking for ways to show that training is engaging, relevant and delivering real value.

To address this gap, Traliant introduces The Conference — reimagined Preventing Workplace Harassment training for 2026. Redesigned to deliver legally accurate content in an entirely new way to influence real workplace behavior, the TV-style, episodic course follows a group of colleagues through a multi-day work conference. As situations unfold during sessions, networking events and casual moments, learners encounter realistic challenges involving civility, harassment, discrimination, bystander intervention, reporting, retaliation and supervisory responsibilities.

“We know employees don’t look forward to mandated training and they often rush through it without retaining much,” said Shelby Cooney, Traliant’s Senior Vice President of Product. “Our goal with The Conference was to create training people actually want to watch, like a TV show, that is memorable and reflects real-life situations. It’s training that pulls them in, sticks with them and drives real behavior change.”

At the same time, organizations are navigating increased complexity — from multi-jurisdictional requirements to heightened expectations around documentation. They can’t rely on check-the-box approaches.

The Conference addresses this by delivering key content in an immersive way that improves engagement, simplifies administration and supports defensibility to help teams spend less time managing training and more time reinforcing expectations. The training meets EEOC recommendations as well as state, and local requirements — including California, New York, Illinois, Connecticut, Chicago, and other jurisdictions. With streamlined course versions that range from 2 hours to 15 minutes, the training helps organizations meet compliance obligations while respecting employees’ time.

The Conference puts learners inside situations they’re likely to recognize from their own work lives, including gray areas and interpersonal dynamics that traditional scenarios often miss,” adds Cooney. “By seeing how these decisions play out through the TV lens, learners are better equipped to recognize issues, speak up and act appropriately. This approach helps concepts stick and prepares employees to apply what they’ve learned to make better decisions before problems escalate, making workplaces better for everyone.”

New course features for 2026 and why they matter

With HR, Legal and Compliance teams are being asked to do more than prove training was assigned, the course’s new features help them show it was meaningful, consistent and appropriate for different roles and locations to reduce administrative burden and strengthen defensibility, including:

  • Dynamic course profiling that enables administrators to deploy one unified course that automatically adapts based on a learner’s role and location.
  • Built-in behavioral analytics support pre- and post-training questions to assess learners’ understanding of key concepts — important, defensible insights for audits, investigations and leadership conversations.
  • Streamlined self-customization to quickly tailor branding, policies, reporting contacts and surveys without lengthy implementation cycles or added complexity.

Harassment prevention training remains important

Harassment continues to account for more than one-third of all discrimination charges filed with the EEOC each year, and surveys consistently show that many employees who experience harassment choose not to report it.

“From a compliance perspective, training has to work,” said Elissa Rossi, Senior Vice President of Compliance Services at Traliant. “When employees understand how the rules apply in real situations and where to go if they have concerns, organizations are in a much stronger position to prevent issues and encourage reporting.”

The takeaway for HR and legal leaders is simple: comprehension and retention are what ultimately drive behavior, reduce risk and empower employees to respond effectively if issues arise.

The Conference builds on Traliant’s trusted compliance foundation while delivering a learning experience designed for today’s workplace that resonates with employees and supports HR and legal teams long after the course is complete.
