Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities (AODA)

Meet Ontario accessibility training requirements with engaging, role-based learning.

Ready to see the training in action?

    Train. Reinforce. Protect.

Traliant Learning Topics pair foundational, attorney-authored training with reinforcement content, including Micro Reels that keep key concepts fresh throughout the year. Always protected, not more time in training.

Make accessibility part of everyday work.

Organizations with employees in Ontario need to understand and meet their responsibilities under the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).

Traliant’s Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities turns those requirements into realistic workplace situations employees can understand and apply. Story-based scenarios show employees how to provide accessible service, recognize, and respond to barriers, support accommodation, and meet the accessibility requirements that apply to their work.

The 45-minute course includes a 30-minute core for all employees, plus a 15-minute module automatically tailored to each employee's role. That means employees get the training they need without HR having to manage separate courses for different departments.

Ten reinforcing Micro Reel videos, under 2 minutes each, help put accessibility behaviors into practice long after the foundational course is complete.

A stronger compliance program with the tools to go deeper, ready when you are.

    What is a Learning Topic?

A Learning Topic is everything you need to cover one subject, like preventing harassment or keeping data safe. It’s more than a single course. It pairs attorney-authored training with reinforcement tools that keep the protection going after the course ends.

    How does it work?

The full course meets your requirements, giving a documented, defensible record. Reinforcement tools keep that protection working between annual trainings. Pick your Learning Topic, roll it out, and it keeps working all year.

    What’s in a Learning Topic?

Reinforcement tools vary by topic, so each Learning Topic includes the mix that fits its subject.

    Foundational courses

Comprehensive training written by our in-house attorneys and kept current as laws change. Produced with the quality of a TV show, so it holds attention and the lesson sticks.

    Micro Reels

Short, just-in-time videos that reinforce key concepts right when employees need them most.

    Refreshers

Short follow-up courses that strengthen retention between annual trainings.

    Application Tools and Job Aids

Practical resources that help employees apply what they learned with confidence on the job.

What to consider when choosing the most effective AODA training

The AODA applies to public-sector, private-sector, and non-profit organizations with one or more employees in Ontario. Employees need training on accessibility requirements that apply to their work and responsibilities.

Employees need to understand applicable accessibility requirements under the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation (IASR), as well as the Ontario Human Rights Code as it relates to people with disabilities. Depending on their role, this can include customer service, employment, information and communications, transportation, and the design of public spaces.

Traliant's AODA training covers every Section 7 training requirement of the IASR in one course, helping organizations provide comprehensive training without piecing together multiple courses.

No. While employees share certain core requirements, additional accessibility obligations depend on their responsibilities.

Traliant simplifies assignment with a 30-minute core for all employees plus a 15-minute module automatically tailored to each employee's role in employment, transportation, design of public spaces or information and communications. There's no need for HR to manage separate courses for different departments.

Yes. Traliant's AODA course covers every Section 7 training requirement of the Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation. Employees complete core training on the Customer Service Standard, general requirements, and the Ontario Human Rights Code, plus the role-based module that applies to their work.

Ten Micro Reels reinforce key accessibility responsibilities throughout the year, helping employees remember and apply what they've learned after the foundational training is complete.

AODA documentation requirements can vary based on an organization's size and sector. Traliant automatically captures employee training records, making it easier for HR and Legal teams to document completion and maintain required compliance records.
